The Granny Club

Just call me granny. I don't mind. Because see, since Robin's been away, I've taken up a new hobby. Chrissy, you're going to love this. You do the quilting, I'll do the crochet'ing. And together we can make the Rocking Wrinkle Raver Club. I've crochet'd two scarves, well, actually one and a half, since Robin went to Dundee. And today I went to the wool shop and bought bunches of new balls of wool. Enough to keep me out of packing crochet'ing till Robin gets back. Even as I sit here typing I'm wishing I could rather be crochet'ing. With my cat, a cuppa tea and a good movie in the background, of course. It's a package deal, see?
.
Clearly my life has been exhilirating since Robin's been away. And you're all wishing he'd arrive back already so I can get my groove back, right? Me too. But at least I'll have a scarf to match every outfit by then!

They are beautiful! I succumbed and started on a scarve over the weekend, will post a picture of it when it's finished on my blog :)

I just linked a post to your blog - let me know if you're OK with how I did it please?

Gorgeous! I wish I had the patience (not to mention the talent) to do something so tactile.

OK, forgive me for my lack of knowledge of South African climate, but you describe in your sidebar that you live in "Sunny South Africa." To me, that descriptions means warm and I'm wondering if you really need a wool scarf to match each outfit?
Or maybe it's just because it is soooo HOT here today I can't fathom having someting around my neck! LOL
Seriously, your work looks beautiful. I'm impressed!
BTW, I read your posts with an American accent, so it's OK for you to read mine with a South African one!

Hello gals... Woops - that pic was a bit misleading I think... those are all of my scarves wrapped around my neck, yes... but I didn't make all of those. I've only made one, and a half. Sorry to lead you down the garden path.

Gorgeous, Char! I think i like your hobby better than mine because you can do yours while snuggled up on the couch watching tv!

Wow - you have been busy! I've always wanted to learn how to crochet. I started making Christmas stockings a few summers back for my hubby and I. Promised myself that I wouldn't learn to crochet until I finished those. Well guess how that's going... I got two of those Bucilla felt stocking kits that have lots of beading all over them. Maybe I'll work on them on my flight to Vegas tomorrow.

I am well impressed that you crocheted any scarves! I am sorely lacking in creative genes...

I echo the commenter above: you are beautiful!
